In a unexpected crossover event that challenges usual expectations, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the formal release, "An unusual meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine cult.
The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This update also adds the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
